You will find 18th century's Igueldo's Keep in the
center of the Park. Its initial functions as a wooden
lighthouse ended with the construction of the current
lighthouse. The Monte Igueldo Society bought this
old disused lighthouse in 1912, building a small
museum with a glassed-in lookout and a crenelated
terrace. If you go up to the top you will contemplate
a spectacular landscape: from the Biscayan cape of
Machichaco to the French Landes.
The logo of the Monte Igueldo Hotel pays homage to
this building and its peculiar battlements of different
heights.
